If you were stranded on an island, what five books would you bring?
Hmmmm, five books and five books only, eh? Very clever, Purple Said Fred. I suppose the first book would have to be "The Stand", by Stephen King - I've already read it more than ten times and I never get tired of it. The second would be the Air Force Promotion Fitness Examination Manual, 'cuz I'm pretty sure I haven't read it before. The third would be "Cooking Mollusks for Dummies". I'm believe that cooking mollusks might become rather important, and I don't know how. I don't know if this makes me a dummy or not, but I'll roll with it. Four and five would have to be a book of Zen Koans (so I can meditate and not go all nutso) and some kinda medical book (so I can attempt an appendectomy on myself if I have to). For entertaiment, mostly I would poke local animals with sticks. Not sharp ones, mind you, but stick nonetheless.
First off, welcome to the site!
Secondly, I've seen this question floating around for a bit now but have yet to come up with any good responses to it. Your choices seem well-founded. Well, all except the PFE. What's that about? Oh, right... kindling.
Where do you want to be in ten years?
