    Busy Weekend, Everyone?

Posted by Heatherdawn on Monday, September 25, 2006 @ 07:32 AM
We all must have had either one very busy weekend, or just needed some free time to catch up on our hobbies. How's everyone doing?

It's bright and early on Monday morning and I plan on having a great day. We didn't really do anything special this weekend - we mostly vegged on the couch and watched Scrubs. I've been in the need for a few extra laughs recently. I don't really know why; it's not like my life is all that tragic right now, but I've been really enjoying the sitcom, nonetheless. I did a few errands and household chores and Jeff worked on his computer. Kadie demolished the house again (but that's nothing new, right?). <sigh>

I've been meaning to bring this up for a while...go to www.missingmoney.com and type in your last name. It will search for any accounts (old bank accounts, etc) that owe you money. I know I found something listed under Lisa's name. I don't know how you go about collecting the money, but it'd be nice to get a little extra if it's yours.

Like I said, nothing new is going on, but I thought I'd say hi and send out a wish for everyone to have a great day. Love and hugs to all!

Guess I've been slacking.  I use to get up early to blog, before the other members of the house came out of their cocoons.  But now that school has started, I have to get Violet up at 7 am. and Richard still goes until 10:30 or 11:30 pm., and I have no desire to up my alarmclock.  I know you young folks think I'm a wimp, but I need my beauty sleep!

Yesterday, we dropped Violet at school and went to North Bend (and beyond) to deliver a building.  We got back in time to pick up Violet, then I came home to make lasanga and fresh apple pie...........wrong thing to do when it's 80 something outside.

Today, we dropped Violet at school and then drove our new car to Myrtle Point to see if we had room enough to deliver another building tomorrow morning.  Ran a few errands and stopped to see G & G Enzler.  Then home to do laundry and enjoy another beautiful day.

Violet has been very whinny and objects to almost everything I say lately - Richard says I'm creating her world to respond to me like that - so today, he's being the bad parent (i.e. supervising homework and reminding her to put her things away.)  It sure is quiet and peaceful back here!

We heard from Susan Sunday afternoon - which probably doesn't help.  She wants to come down with Julie, Amiee and Caroline to visit Violet.  I need to call Julie and set up the time.  I'm not looking forward to it, but know Violet  wants to see them.

I saw the bobcat again this afternoon,  right at the turn on the hill.  Although the calendar says Sept. 26th and the leaves are changing, our weather feels like summer.  We'll BBQ hamburgers for dinner - no baking today.
