    • Kadie has a baby brother on her mind lately (we have clarified this a few times and her preference is definitely for a boy). A few days ago, Kadie asked us, out of the blue, when we were going to bring a baby home. Yesterday, at church, she told someone that she was going to have a baby soon - which, of course, prompted a questioning look my way. When I smiled and shook my head, the lady chuckled and told Kadie,"Good luck with that." I don't know what has prompted this most recent bout of baby...

    • I haven't posted in a while because my typing, at the moment, closely resembles a monkey on crack pounding on a keyboard. Read on for an explanation...After several months of wrist pain that slowly worsened to a permanent dull throb no matter what I did (or didn't do), I finally decided to go see a specialist to narrow down what was going on. Apparently, at some point, I strained the flexor tendon in my right forearm. While I tried the various home remedies (hot packs, NSAIDs, a hand brace...

    • We got a call from Kadie's school today around one, telling us that she had been acting listless so they had taken her temperature...101 degrees. We picked her up and took her home, but we're hoping that this is just a fluke and not another round with supervirus. When we got home, I took her temperature again and it was normal. An hour later, it was 99.6. I'm going to wait to see what the night brings, and what her temp is in the morning, but, with the last go 'round, she was temperature free...

    • Apparently, I need a more permanent fix for my wrist. Any more juice in that wand? Jeff made a correlation the other day when my wrist started feeling a little sore again...I had also mentioned that my hips were feeling achy that day. Maybe it's my joints that are having some problems. Will have to look into that. I know joints have always been an Enzler issue...thanks, Mom! Anyways, I'm back to wearing the brace at work. It makes typing, shall we say,"interesting"? I'll deal with it though as...

    • Anyone still believe in those? Here's one (while not on the scale of virginal birth, it's still a viable contender)...Remember my last post? The one about my possible carpal tunnel issues? The morning I was typing that post, my wrist was painful and I couldn't support any weight using it. That night, less than 10 hours later, I took off my brace and started stretching it (I had taken the brace off a few times during the day but hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary). I found it very...

    • For a Monday morning, things are going well. I was fighting a migraine all night so I didn't think it was going to be a good day, but things are turning out better than expected. I gave in and took some pills when I got up this morning, followed by a long, hot shower, so the remainder of the migraine disappeared after about 30 minutes. It still feels like someone kicked me in the head and my nose won't stop draining, but the pressure's gone.I got Kadie up and put her downstairs on the couch...
